YOU DON’T HAVE TO REINVENT THE WHEEL

Why aren’t more churches starting new daughter congregations? Why aren’t more new ministries reaching more people for Jesus?

Research has shown that most are willing, they just don’t know how. They don’t know where to begin. There is also a huge fear of failure.

What if those fears were removed?
What if there was someone to help explain the process, help set strategy, and identify resourcing to make it happen?

Now there is. It’s called:

Mission Planting Advocates is a support group for those interested in reaching out with the Gospel of Jesus in an attempt to begin new missions and ministries within the Districts of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Mission Planting Advocates has had a productive year. We are consulting with and assisting in five new congregational starts. We are currently partnering with eight parenting congregations in beginning new church starts in the east Hamilton County area, in Greenwood, in the Bloomington area, and in Louisville. We have been assisting with demographic studies, strategic planning, vision casting and in developing the process to call a church planter.
We are also developing a partnership with congregations in northwest Indiana to further extend the kingdom and grow the church in the Lake County area.
We are also exploring a potential outreach into the inner city of Indianapolis. By 2010 we hope to have secured enough supporting congregations to take on the obligations of an Executive Director/Development staff person to manage a strategic goal of 10 new ministry starts per year.
God is richly blessing the ministry of Mission Planting Advocates by raising up new ministry possibilities.
